Getting a lil' better
Done whilst sitting in Empire Cafe today. Using fine liner and Faber Castel brush markers, kind of like the copic markers but they aren't as good at blending. Note to self: work on taking photos of work. Any tips would be appriciated.

Golly, Massive Fail.
So it seems that my Drawing a Day is failing not because of my lack of motivation to draw, more because of my horrible memory and jam packed days. When your days consist of so much jam, it is hard to remember to draw and post when I get home at night. Sigh.
Still, I will persevere with attempting to remember, this means that sometimes the posts will be lumped together.
Here are some drawings that I have done in recent days. At the moment they are pretty simple and not in any particular vein.

Here are some drawings that I have done in recent days. At the moment they are pretty simple and not in any particular vein.
The first is a drawing of a character idea for a puppet show that I have been slowly slowly scheming about. A man with a lightbulb for a head, who can't see because he can't yet figure out how to turn his lightbulb on. Basically a puppet version of my 3rd year shed piece, but with quite a few of the ideas rejigged.
The second one is my finger in a state of sausage ugliness.
The third is also my finger (can you tell I really like hands?) drawn over a swish of gouache.
Cheers!

Public Transport
So, already I have failed in my endeavour to post a drawing a day. My birthday weekend was possibly not the best weekend to start such a resolution. Drunk drawing is one thing. Remembering to draw whilst drunk is another.
This was done on a train trip back from Cheltenham. Bald heads and rolls of fat are kind of interesting.

More to come...tomorrow

Just a Drawing a Day
This is more of a personal project than anything else really. And I'm actually quite scared that I will fail. I always tell myself that I want to draw more and think about how cathartic and relaxing drawing is for me. This is my attempt to force myself into this resolution. Because not much else seems to have done the trick. Life somehow seems to get in the way all time but I couldn't honestly say that life was much more valuable than drawing.
Anyway, here is a silly little drawing to start me off.
Let's see how this goes.
